Prediction of surface topography change during chain of selective laser melting and burnishing

چکیده

Abstract. The present study developed theoretical models for simulation of surface topography and roughness parts produced by the selective laser melting (SLM) process their evolution after burnishing as post-treatment. algorithm has been integrated combining principles process, i.e., formation melt pool kinematic motion, followed mechanic through Z-map approach. To verify results, 316L stainless steel was 3D printed then burnished under different depth. profile as-printed material those post-processed (SB) were measured microscopic examination measurement, respectively. results obtained comparison confirmatory experiments model affirmed that proposed approach is accurate enough to predict post-treated samples.
